Dr. Guan Lin is an Associate Professor at Department of Ocean Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He obtained his PhD degree in structural engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2016. Dr. Lin has been engaged in research on applications of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP)composites in civil and ocean engineering. He has published over 50 papers in leading SCI journals, with over 1400 citations and an H-index of 22 in Scopus. Dr. Lin’s research outcomes have been adopted by the Chinese national Standard GB-50608 2020 and the Chinese Technical Specification CECS146 2022. He has been involved in the development of 4 national standards or specifications in China. Dr. Lin has received the Best Organization Award at the 2nd Int. Conf. on Green Building, Civil Eng., and Smart Cities in 2023, the IIFC Runner-up Award for Best PhD Thesis in 2018, and the Silver Award in the International Progressive Collapse Test Analysis Competition in 2013. Dr. Lin was a co-Chair or Organizing/Academic/ Scientific Committee member or secretary of more than 10 international or domestic conferences. He is an International Editorial Board member of ASCE J. Compos. Constr., an Early Career Board Member of Adv. Struct. Eng., and an Editorial Board Member of Open J. Civ. Eng.
